Location

The Boringdon Arms is set in the middle of the little waterside village of Turnchapel, on the Cattewater, (the lower stretch of the river Plym) just a few miles from Plymouth City.
Directions . Approaching from the A38 from the east (Exeter) or west (Cornwall), at Marsh Mills (Sainsburys) Roundabout - take the Plymouth City Centre exit and follow the river Plym along the A374 dual carriageway. Take the right hand lane before passing under the railway bridge painted with ducks and follow the signs for Plymstock and Kingsbridge. This takes you to a give-way junction, turn left here and turn left again at the traffic lights 100 yards further on, onto the A379 ; Turnchapel is signposted from here, through Plymstock and Hooe.

Follow the A379 dual
carriageway straight on through the two sets of traffic lights on Laira bridge
over the Plym (notice the Coat of Arms on the Morley Arms Pub on your right is
the same as the Boringdon's - see History). After half a mile take the "Three
O'Clock" exit from the roundabout, straight across the new double roundabout at
Safeway's, still signposted Plymstock and Turnchapel etc and carry on as
straight as possible for about half a mile, turn right at the traffic lights.
Continue straight on through the next traffic lights and follow the main road a
mile or so; at the top of the hill, with Fort Stamford on your left and St
Luke's Hospice ahead on the right hand bend, continue down the sweeping left
bend and look out for the little signpost pointing right to Turnchapel -
there is a car park near the junction or you can drive down the narrow steep
hill into the Village.
Turn right at the cross-roads almost at the waters edge, the Bori is 50 yards on
your right, in the middle of the Terrace. There is a public car park 100 yards
further on with the entrance on the right just before the MoD security gates
which are usually locked across the road.
